No two ways about it: this is a must-win game for Carolina on Monday.
The 3-3 Panthers have work to do if they wish to keep pace with the red-hot Bucs in the NFC South, and it’s fair to say a game against the struggling 1-5 Giants couldn’t have come at a better time.
New York has been decimated with injuries through the first six weeks, and while there’s a chance Kenny Golladay and Saquon Barkley could return, it’s hard to get on board with a Giants defence that is allowing 30 points a game.
The Panthers, meanwhile, have been a very difficult team to score against this year, evident in the fact they’ve allowed the seventh-fewest points to opponents.
Carolina’s offence has come crashing back to earth with Christian McCaffrey on the sidelines and Sam Darnold struggling to convert on third down, but with the Giants potentially missing some key pieces again, I think a Panthers win and the Under is the way to go.
