Separated by one win in the lower half of the AFL ladder, Essendon (7-13) and Port Adelaide (8-12) will face off at Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Bombers fell to just their third loss in eight matches last weekend, going down 96-69 to GWS at GIANTS Stadium.
Notably, two of their losses in that run have come interstate, while the other came after the siren against Collingwood.
Meanwhile, Port Adelaide has now fallen to four straight defeats after losing 109-71 to Richmond at the Adelaide Oval in Round 21.
As a result, the Power are in danger of finishing with fewer than 10 wins for the first time since 2012, heaping pressure onto Ken Hinkley’s position as head coach.
These sides have already faced off in 2022, seeing Port Adelaide claim a 66-50 victory in South Australia despite the efforts of Darcy Parish (39 disposals) for Essendon.
