It has been an inconsistent season for Geelong so far but they sit sixth with a record of 6-4 through 10 rounds.
Their last two losses were against two sides above them on the ladder in St Kilda and Fremantle but they bounced back from those disappointing losses with a dominant 35 point win over Port Adelaide on Saturday afternoon at home.
They had lost three of their past five games at GMHBA Stadium so a win at the Cattery was an important one.
The Crows were right in the contest against the Saints on Saturday night until late in the game and St Kilda kicked two goals in the final 90 seconds to flatter the 21 point margin.
Poor kicking for goal cost the Crows and not only did they have four more shots on goal than their opponents, they had more inside 50s and more clearances.
