Able to all but officially claim the minor premiership through victory on Saturday afternoon, Geelong will visit Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.
The Cats recorded their 11th straight victory by overcoming St Kilda 110-65 at GMHBA Stadium last weekend despite being without several key players.
Isaac Smith was outstanding en route to that result, recording 21 disposals and three goals, while Sam Menegola added 25 and a goal.
Meanwhile, Gold Coast fell 70-63 to Hawthorn in Launceston despite David Swallow’s 33-disposal display and Elijah Hollands’ 23-disposal, two-goal performance in just his third career appearance.
The Suns have now lost five of their last seven, with five of those fixtures decided by a margin of seven points or less.
The latest meeting between these clubs wasn’t quite as close, with Geelong claiming a 91-57 victory at GMHBA Stadium in Round 10, 2021 behind Joel Selwood’s 39-disposal, 10-clearance outing.
