Houston Texans vs Miami Dolphins Preview
This game could go a long way to determining who picks first overall in next year’s Draft.
Despite both teams sporting a 1-7 record, the Dolphins have opened short-priced favourites with Tua Tagovailoa back under centre.
The lefty completed only 54% of his passes last week for 205 yards in the loss to the Bills, but this does look a nice game for him to get some of his mojo back against a Texans secondary that has basically given up.
The Houston offence, meanwhile, has anything but.
The Texans managed to cover the lengthy spread last week in their 38-22 loss to the Rams, and I don’t think Davis Mills will have any trouble picking apart an equally bad Dolphins defence.
This game is tough to get excited about from a betting standpoint, but I really can’t get the Dolphins anywhere close to their current price.
Instead, I think we’re in for a high-scoring game based on how poorly both defences have played.
