One of the only knocks on the Dees through the first part of this season was that they weren’t putting teams away but they have now won by 38, 74 and 47 points in their last three weeks.
It’s no surprise that Melbourne have more shots on goal and more inside 50s than any team in the comp.
Clayton Oliver is on his way to polling extremely well in a Brownlow Medal averaging 34 touches per game in season 2022 gathering a season high 45 against North Melbourne on the weekend.
Fremantle cling to fourth position through 10 rounds despite dropping back to back losses for the first time this season.
Most concerning is that both losses have come against sides that sit outside the top eight including Gold Coast (12th) by 36 points and Collingwood (10th) by the same margin.
I’ll be looking for an improved performance from the Dockers after a couple of poor performances.
Except for the last couple of weeks, the Dockers have controlled the football well and been a tough side to score against, something that they will need to return to against a side that is capable of scoring, and scoring fast.
