The Dees will be hoping for a repeat of Round 3 on Saturday as they look to make it a clean sweep over the Giants at the MCG.

Melbourne won by 34 points when they met in Sydney earlier in the year, while they’ll also be looking to build on a thrilling win over Essendon last week that has likely left Simon Goodwin with plenty to think about.

The Dees struggled under the Dons’ enormous pressure for most of the game, but like all good sides do, Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver showed their class to ensure a much-needed victory.

Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the Giants.

Leon Cameron’s side blew a three-goal first-quarter lead against the Hawks last Sunday and managed to squander a chance to return to the eight in the process.

Looking ahead, the Dees should be able to win this game comfortably if they can replicate the same game plan they put into effect in Round 3.

Much like last week against Hawthorn, the Giants led by three goals at quarter time, only to fall apart in the second half as turnovers and sloppy play gifted the Dees nine goals.

If Melbourne can apply the same pressure and find some much-needed accuracy in front of goal, they should go a long way towards winning this.
