The Dees relinquished top spot on the ladder last week with a loss to Geelong, but they might be able to make up ground with a clean sweep over Port on Sunday.
Melbourne prevailed by a comfortable 32 points when these two sides met at the Adelaide Oval in Round 4, a game that saw Bayley Fritsch kick three goals.
Port’s form has turned around immensely since then however, particularly in recent weeks with three wins from their last four games.
The Power dominated the Giants last week from start to finish, holding them to just three goals, and while a spot in the eight still looks unlikely, there’s definitely enough time for Port to still sneak in.
Betting wise, the Power have a very profitable bet in the underdog role, covering in six of their last nine games, as well in each of their last two against Melbourne at the MCG.
Stats wise, these two sides line up rather nicely, although the Dees do look to have a serious edge when it comes to scoring and generating inside 50 entries.
That said, the Power have been a sneaky good defensive team this year, holding opponents to the third-fewest goals in the competition.
