There’s nothing on the line in the final Showdown of the year, but if it turns out anything like the Round 3 thriller, fans should be in for a real treat.

The Crows famously won on Jordan Dawson’s goal after the siren, sinking Port Adelaide to 0-3 and heaping further pressure on Ken Hinkley.

Reports last week from the top suggest Hinkley will serve another season as Port coach, and we did see the club respond well to the news with a comfortable win over Essendon last Sunday.

The Crows, on the other hand, were lucky to survive North Melbourne after a sluggish three quarters at home.

Adelaide spent most of the game in front, but they’ll need to be better around the centre clearances this week with Port looking to even the score with their rival.

That said, the Crows have shown some real glimpses into the future during this recent three-game winning streak, particularly up forward with Darcy Fogarty enjoying a few big weeks in front of the sticks.

Adelaide has also been the top tackling side in the competition this year, which should make for an interesting contest against a Port Adelaide side that has also ramped up its pressure around the ball.
