Despite losing a qualifying final for the first time in four years last Friday night, Richmond has been heavily supported to atone from $1.40 to $1.28 at TAB to defeat St Kilda ($2.90 to $3.70) in their semi-final at Metricon Stadium tomorrow night.
The Tigers have received 92 percent of support from TAB customers to keep their back-to-back premiership hopes alive while the Saints have drifted as they deal with injuries and suspension following their three-point elimination final triumph over the Western Bulldogs.
Since the pre-finals bye was introduced in 2016, three of the eight qualifying final losers have fallen in the semi-finals and Geelong will be desperate to avoid that fate against Collingwood at the Gabba on Saturday night.
Early money was for the Magpies after their dramatic one-point elimination final victory over West Coast, but the Cats have garnered 66 percent of interest from TAB punters.
Geelong – who rebounded from qualifying final defeats in 2017 and 2019 – were as much as $1.77 and are currently $1.67 favourites at TAB with Collingwood easing to $2.20.
