They didn’t have it all their own way against the Crows but they showed a lot of grit and determination late in the game to grind out a win.
This is the sign of a good team.
North Melbourne also showed a fair amount of heart against the reining premiers despite eventually going down by 47 points.
Poor kicking and efficiency inside their forward 50 kept the score line respectable as the Dees had a whopping 40 more inside 50 entries than their opponents.
The Saints beat Hawthorn by 69 points in round four but aside from that win they have struggled to win by big margins.
