Both of these teams surprised many with their Round 14 performances.
The Bombers recorded the third win of their season when they beat St Kilda on Friday night.
They had 15 more scoring shots than the Saints as well as 15 more inside 50s.
Their disposal efficiency was 80.1% which is up on their season average of 76.3% and 57.4% inside forward 50 (up from 46% on average).
Many thought it would be a percentage boost for Geelong on Saturday afternoon in Perth but the Eagles shown plenty of fight for four quarters which has not been the case throughout their 2022 campaign.
This, like many of the games this round, is a tough one to assess but they fact that the game is taking place in the west and some of West Coast’s experienced members have had several weeks on the park together has me bullish about their chances with a head start.
