The West Coast Eagles sit last on the AFL ladder with just the single win so far this season.
It has been a tumultuous year for the players and supporters alike and despite gaining back some key midfielders on the weekend, they still lost by 52 points to the GWS Giants.
There was plenty to like about the way they moved the ball forward as opposed to previous weeks and they managed to outscore GWS in the second half.
The Western Bulldogs have their season back on track after winning three of their last four now with the only loss in that period coming against Port Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval.
Bailey Smith continues to be the Dogs number one midfielder and sits atop the AFL Fantasy Points ladder with 118.4 per game.
Despite West Coast’s improved performance over the last few week’s especially in the contest, this is a bad match up for them.
The Dogs put the ball inside 50 the fourth most in the competition and have more uncontested possessions than every team bar Carlton.
West Coast were not competitive at the stoppages against GWS and were damaged badly on the scoreboard because of it and if they don’t fix this area of their game, the Dogs will take full advantage.
