Western Bulldogs vs Richmond Preview

Currently sitting in 8th spot on the ladder, it’s still mathematically possible for the Western Bulldogs to make the final six.

Richmond have proven to be no easy beat this season, having won their past two games – making it three wins for the season and the recent formline suggests the Tigers are actually the team that’s been in-form of recent.

They were able to hold off a spirited comeback from West Coast in the second half last week with an 8-point victory, their first at Punt Road.

The Western Bulldogs have lost their past three matches and would need to belt Richmond along with banking North beating Freo and GWS beating Carlton in order to make finals.

They copped a 56-point belting at the hands of Adelaide last week and never looked in the game.

There will be a bit of heat in this game, given it’s former Doggies skipper turned Tiger Katie Brenan and fellow Richmond convert Mon Conti’s return to Whitten Oval.

While the Bulldogs are the clear favourites going into this one, I’m actually going all out for an upset and backing Richmond outright.
