The 12-14 Sixers are seventh, suffering a crucial 113-89 loss in Auckland last Friday. They kept the flame flickering with a 100-93 home win over the Phoenix two days later, Jerome Randle starring with 35 points. The third-placed, 15-10 Taipans have won eight of their last nine games. In last weekend’s only assignment, they carved up the Hawks 99-75 at home.
After losing six straight to the Sixers – including the clubs’ first clash of the season in October – the Taipans have won the last two, 94-86 and 108-91 victories at home. But the Taipans have still lost their last four in Adelaide.
The 36ers are 8-5 at home, winning four of their last five. The Taipans are just 4-7 on the road but have won three of their last five away. This should be very tight, with Adelaide shaping as a sound bet as the home underdog.
