Last time these sides met it was a wild encounter with a red card apiece, an eye gouging incident and the coaches going off at each other on the sideline.
Unfortunately, some of the main antagonists from that clash are gone with Taylor Regan departing Adelaide, John Aloisi resigning as Roar boss and one time Red Stefan Mauk absent from the Roar due to injury.
Adelaide are on a great run against Brisbane, winning four of the last six meetings between the two clubs and are favoured to make it five of seven.
Brisbane gave us a glimpse of the Roar sides of old with two stoppage time goals to steal a point against the Wanderers.
Even with the momentum boost a comeback like that will give them, the Roar’s defensive stocks are paper thin at the moment and Adelaide should be able to take advantage of the chances they will get.
