The Reds 4-3 win over Western United last week gave us one of the more memorable games of the entire season and it seems like Gertjan Verbeek’s hail-mary play to call out the squad gave them a wakeup call.
Melbourne City continued to pick up points with a dour draw against their closest rival for second-place in Perth last weekend and they will need Jamie Maclaren to have his shooting boots ready to go in this one.
Three of the last four meetings between these sides have finished as draws but I’ll take City as I don’t think Adelaide have quite solved their scoring issues yet.
