All Star Mile Free Tips, Bets and Field Preview – 2020

The barrier draw has been completed and it’s all systems go ahead of Saturday’s $5 million The All-Star Mile at Caulfield.

At Neds, we’re obviously all about top-line racing at Caulfield but Saturday will be a particularly special one for us, as we’re represented by the Grant & Alana Williams-trained Superstorm in The All-Star Mile.

To say that we’re bullish of the star three-year-old’s chances of winning could be the understatement of the year, and you can find our 2020 All-Star Mile tips below.

All Star Mile – Winner

No. 13 Superstorm – Bet Now: $13.00

I might be a little biased, but Superstorm couldn’t have been more impressive in the Australian Guineas without winning and I simply cannot wait to see him step out in The All-Star Mile. The son of Sebring, out of multiple stakes winning mare Stormy Nova announced himself to the wider Australian racing community during the recent Perth Summer Carnival, particularly when flying home to finish fourth in the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic. He gave his rivals windburn when resuming this time in the Listed Challenge Stakes at Ascot and he’ll only improve into his third-up task on Saturday. Barrier 14 is tricky, but he can go back and power over his rivals with the lighter weight.

All Star Mile – All Star Mile – 2nd

No. 11 Alligator Blood – Bet Now: $2.80

He could be the best horse currently going around in Australia and I can’t find a reason why Alligator Blood won’t be in the finish of The All-Star Mile. The three-year-old son of All Too Hard is unlucky not to be unbeaten, with the only blemish on his record so-far being that bee’s you-know-what second to Super Seth in last year’s Caulfield Guineas. You don’t need me to tell you what he’s done this year – the Magic Millions and Australian Guineas wins were as good as they come, and he’ll be looking to dictate terms again on Saturday.

All Star Mile – 3rd

No. 3 Fierce Impact – Bet Now: $11.00

The All-Star Mile just wouldn’t have been the same without this wildcard runners and the conditions of the race will surely suit Fierce Impact right down to the ground. The Deep Impact entire went to another level in spring, winning both the Group 1 Toorak Handicap and Group 1 Cantala Stakes, and he has stripped fitter for two competitive performances in Group 1 company since he returned from a spell. He’ll need to show a bit of pace from barrier 12, but is clearly up to the task.

All Star Mile – 4th

No. 7 Mr Quickie – Bet Now: $13.00

Mr Quickie’s fresh record is enormous, and he was probably the big winner at Tuesday’s The All-Star Mile barrier draw (gate 4). The Shamus Award gelding capped his three-year-old season with an impressive win in the Queensland Derby and produced one of the more eye-catching runs of the Spring Carnival when storming home to finish third in the Group 1 Makybe Diva fresh. He’s had the benefit of a couple of lovely trials in the lead-up to The All-Star Mile and it would not be surprising to see him battling it out at the end, at a lovely price.
