It’s almost auction time on another season of The Block, with Geelong duo Andy and Ben firming from $3.00 into $2.75 to take the series with sportsbet.com.au.

Julia and Sasha have also shortened ahead of the reveal episodes, in from $3.50 to $3.00, while former joint favourites William and Karlie have gone the other way out from $3.00 to $4.00.
It’s a logjam at the head of the market, with Andy and Ben the best backed, but Sportsbet is only holding $500 more on them compared to next best backed Julia and Sasha, who are just $50 ahead of William and Karlie.
At the other end of the book, Carleen and Dan, and Kim and Chris are priced at $7.50 and punters are steering clear with just a combined 15% of the money on the two pairings.
95% of Sportsbet punters are tipping Sunday night’s finale will attract more than 1.5 million viewers, which is the $1.75 favourite, with less than 1.5 million viewers priced at $2.00.
In the Winners’ Profit market, punters are coming for $400,000 – $599,999 which is priced at $4.50 but Sportsbet thinks it will be higher with $600,000 to $799,999 the $3.00 favourite.
“Andy and Ben have been consistent at the top of the market throughout the series and head into the reveal shows as the clear favourite. But punters are split, with money evenly spread across the top 3 teams,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Bulmer.
“Whoever takes out this season of The Block will have a healthy bank balance next Monday, with punters tipping a profit of more than $400,000 while we here at Sportsbet think it will be more than $600,000 – cha ching.”
