Last time most of the Argentine players came to Suncorp Stadium, they came away with a bizarre 11 point victory over the Reds last month.
While it is most likely New Zealand’s competition to lose, if either side wants to have any chance of claiming this abbreviated Rugby Championship they need to win this game.
Last year it was Argentina pulling off the upset of the year knocking off the Wallabies on the Gold Coast and after the disjointed performance in South Africa, you can’t rule out another upset.
It’s a sign of the progress Argentinian rugby has made that you look at this game and think they have a side that should be competitive against an admittedly struggling Australian side.
Australia has traditionally been a very strong side at Suncorp but I’m expecting them to have to really work for their win here and I’ll back them to win a close contest that might not feel like a win.
