Bathurst 1000 Tips, Odds and Free Bonus Bets – V8 Supercars 2020

The 2020 Supercars season comes to a close this weekend as racing fans shift their sights on Mount Panorama for the running of the Great Race, the Bathurst 1000.

Scott McLaughlin and the Shell V-Power team hold a commanding lead atop the drivers standings, so with the championship already wrapped up, revheads can focus entirely on what should be a wild weekend of racing.

Bathurst betting continues to grow in popularity each year, and with enormous value to be found in the market, we’ve got you covered with our best betting suggestions below!

Preview:

Bathurst 1000 2020 Winner

Defending champion Scott McLaughlin will be without last year’s co-driver Alex Premat due to border restrictions, but still looks enormously hard to beat with Tim Slade replacing the Frenchman behind the wheel.

Slade, a former full-time driver, only strengthens Shell’s chances, but there are a few variables worth considering before you nose dive head first into the favourites.

Firstly, BOM is predicting an 80% chance of rain on Sunday, which only adds to what is already shaping up to be a very unpredictable weekend.

Unlike in previous years, co-drivers don’t have the added advantage of having partaken in practice and test days, while several categories below Supercars have had to forfeit their season entirely due to the pandemic.

With this in mind, you’ll want to back a team that has plenty of experience on their side, so it really is difficult to get away from the top three in the market.

McLaughlin and Shell have won three of the previous four races heading into the weekend and also appear to be the most suited to the reintroduced refuelling strategy that hasn’t played a factor since the Adelaide 500.

Bathurst 1000 2020 Winner Tip: Scott McLaughlin/Tim Slade at $3.75

Bathurst 1000 Podium Finish

Seven debutants will lineup on the starting grid on Sunday, meaning we could see a few surprising names up on the podium when its all said and done.

The Tickford tandem of Lee Holdsworth and Michael Caruso standout among many others at decent odds.

Holdsworth and Caruso found the podium when third at Bathurst back in 2009 and are also coming off a strong result for ninth at The Bend a fortnight ago.

Nick Percat and Thomas Randle could also be worth a shout at a similar quote.

Percat has really made strides in his last three races finishing fourth most recently at The Bend.

Randle, meanwhile, finished the Dunlop Super2 Series on top of the drivers championship and will be hungry to make an even bigger name for himself on Australia’s most famous track.

Bathurst 1000 Podium Finish Tip: Percat/Randle at $6.00 & Holdsworth/Caruso at $7.00
