The Sydney Roosters and Parramatta had a terrific tussle last Saturday night at Bankwest Stadium and one TAB punter is confident these teams will clash in the 2020 NRL Grand Final.
The TAB customer in question has outlaid $40,000 at $6 on the Roosters and Eels to contest this season’s premiership decider, which will result in a $200,000 profit for the punter if successful.
The Roosters and Eels were close to meeting in the 2000 Grand Final when the Roosters beat Newcastle in their preliminary final, but Parramatta fell to eventual premiers Brisbane in their Grand Final qualifier.
The last time the Sydney Roosters and Parramatta met in the finals was in 2000 when the seventh-placed Eels defeated the second-placed Roosters 32-8 in their qualifying final.
