We take a look at Wednesday nights (19/12/2018) BBL Big Bash 2018/2019 Week 1 match which is between Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers. The game is all set to kick off what looks to be another quality season of T20 cricket. We take a look at both teams odds and give our tips and value tips for the match.

When: Dec 19, Wed, 06:15 PM LOCAL

Where: The Gabba, Brisbane

Bet: Bet On This Match HERE

Preview:

BRISBANE HEAT ($1.80) v ADELAIDE STRIKERS ($2.00)

Two of the best batting lineups in the Big Bash this season go head to head at the Gabba. Kiwi Brendon McCullum opens with young sensation Max Bryant followed by Chris Lynn, Joe Burns, Jimmy Peirson, Ben Cutting and James Pattinson. Expect some serious runs to be scored in this match.

The Strikers batting lineup is not far behind the Heat on paper although they are without Travis Head who is on international duty with the Aussies. At home and with Travis Head out of the side, the Wolf thinks the Heat will get some early revenge after losing the grand final last year.

Tip: Brisbane Heat at $1.80

Top wicket taker Adelaide Strikers – Rashid Khan ($2.75)

The Wolf thinks that Afghan spinner Rashid Khan is ready to explode this season. Khan took the most wickets (18) last season at a very economical 13.83. Whilst he missed the finals because of international duties with Afghanistan he will now be playing the whole tournament.

VALUE: Heat to win/Lynn over 26.5 runs/Khan to take 2+ wickets ($6.00)

The Wolf thinks that the Heat will win this match at the Gabba and Khan will certainly get the overs to claim a couple of scalps. Chris Lynn is the big variable here with the captain of the Heat pretty poor in his recent performances for Australia. Lynn has openly said he likes the responsibility of being captain and knowing that he needs to get the Heat off to a solid start should get him more than 26.5 runs.

Teams:
