Brisbane Heat vs Melbourne Stars Preview

The quality contests continue when the Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars do battle at Metricon Stadium later tonight.

The Heat were absolutely terrible at the beginning of the season, but the penny finally appears to have dropped, and they are seeking a third-consecutive win this evening after knocking off both Sydney teams over the weekend.

Monday’s triumph over the Thunder lifted them into sixth on the BBL10 ladder, and another win here would see them onto the edge of the top four.

The Stars have been virtually impossible to trust from a betting standpoint, but they snapped a four-game winless streak with an exciting win over the Hurricanes on Monday, highlighted by Marcus Stoinis’ unbeaten 97.

Given that I am no convinced by either side’s winning chances, I’m instead going to continue to ride Stoinis’ form until he gives me a reason not to.
