West Coast’s disastrous season looks set to continue this Saturday night against the red-hot Lions at the Gabba.

A night that was supposed to be about Josh Kennedy kicking his 700^th goal quickly turned into a humiliating 109-point loss to Richmond last week, one that has left critics calling for a complete rebuild with the Eagles’ season basically over.

Meanwhile, up in Brisbane, it’s a completely different story.

The Lions stamped themselves as the second-best team in the competition with a stirring 24-point win over the Swans at the SCG, a game that was unfortunately marred by Joe Daniher suffering a serious shoulder dislocation.

Fortunately, the Lions have tremendous depth to call upon, as well as a handful of versatile players like Cam Rayner and Dayne Zorko that have proven capable of stepping up and playing in different positions.
