Brownlow Medal Odds, Big Bets and Betting Preview – 2020

The Brisbane Lions’ Lachie Neale will start tonight’s Brownlow Medal count as one of the shortest-priced favourites in TAB’s history and he is currently $1.25 to win the AFL’s highest individual honour for the 2020 season.

Neale has been TAB outright favourite for this year’s Brownlow Medal since the completion of Round 4 and since Gary Davies kept records dating back to 1998, only Dustin Martin ($1.05 in 2017) and Patrick Dangerfield ($1.16 in 2016) have been more heavily favoured before the count to take ‘Charlie’ home.

Neale – $13 before the home-and-away season started – has received 47 percent of support from TAB punters to be awarded this year’s Brownlow Medal with one customer plonking $33,100 at $1.25 yesterday, which could result in a $41,375 collect.

TAB favourites had won four straight Brownlow Medals from 2015 to 2018 until Nat Fyfe ($7) won his second Brownlow last year when Patrick Dangerfield was a $2.40 favourite.

TAB’s round-by-round odds comparison for the 2020 Brownlow Medal is attached along with a less detailed comparison highlighting prices once the market opened, start of season, lowest and highest price, and current price.
