Across the ditch, the Breakers have come out of nowhere to win five games on the bounce and sit 6th on the NBL ladder. Scotty Hopson was typically brilliant in their win over the Phoenix last week. Meanwhile, Tom Abercrombie dropped 24 points in three quarters.
The Breakers have captured some form following a tumultuous start to the season. With things starting to settle down and a few off-court issues sorting themselves out, the championship qualities are beginning to show in this always-competitive Breakers outfit.
Former Breaker DJ Newbill scored 28 points in his last game and will no doubt be eager to hang a few more on his old team.
