The marquee match of Week 2 sees both clubs coming off high-scoring first-up wins.
Chelsea overcame Brighton 3-1 away after second-half goals to Reece James and Kurt Zouma. Liverpool had a much tougher time of it at home to promoted Leeds. After getting out to a lead and then reeled in on three occasions, an 88th-minute penalty converted by Mo Salah – his third goal of the match – snatched a 4-3 win.
Liverpool have won four of their last five against Chelsea. The Blues knocked the Reds out of the FA Cup in March, but Liverpool got up 2-1 at Stamford Bridge and 5-3 at home in the heavyweights’ two EPL showdowns last season.
With Liverpool exposed defensively last week, there’s a lot to like about the over and Chelsea as a home underdog this weekend.
