The Chicago Bears travel to the City of Angels as they open their campaign against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.
Both teams will be debuting new quarterbacks.
The Rams acquired Matthew Stafford via trade while Bears head coach Matt Nagy chose veteran Andy Dalton as the Week 1 starter over highly touted rookie Justin Fields, who was selected at 11th overall.
The loss of top cornerback Kyle Fuller will further test a Bears defence that has been trending downwards since its league-best 17.7 points allowed per game in 2018.
With Fuller gone, the Rams will like their chances down the field with Stafford and their new deep-ball specialist, DeSean Jackson.
Coming off a league-leading 18.5 points allowed per game last season, the Rams’ secondary will miss stud safety John Johnson after his departure in free agency. While Johnson’s absence will make life slightly easier for the Bears, they still must deal with the daunting task that is Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and Leonard Floyd.
