Collingwood is another team that is finding form at the right time of year and are putting pressure on those teams above them to hold their spot inside the eight.
The Pies have won four in a row which includes wins over Fremantle, Carlton and Melbourne who all sit inside the top five.
GWS has nine losses in season 2022 and nine of those losses have been against teams that are currently in the top 10.
The only team they haven’t played in that bracket are the Pies.
While they have plenty of avenues to goal, they simply allow their opposition to cut them up through the middle of the ground too easily and they rank fifth last for contested possessions.
Collingwood will look to control the football and maintain possession therefor taking away GWS’s ability to rack up uncontested touches and I think the total points has come up on the skinny side.
