We have to wait until Monday for the match of the round in my opinion when Collingwood takes on Melbourne at the MCG.
The defending premier were flying high two weeks ago, undefeated through 10 rounds of football and many were declaring them back to back premiers.
But you don’t win premierships in June.
Back to back losses against Fremantle and Sydney has neutral fans and chasing clubs optimistic that we have a competitive competition on our hands.
The Dees will be looking to crush that optimism against one of their oldest rivals.
Collingwood have snuck into the top eight thanks mainly to three wins on the trot.
This includes wins over two teams above them in Carlton and Fremantle by four points and 36 points respectively.
This is a real litmus test for the Pies and while I think they will be competitive, the Dees may be out to prove a point that they are top dog.
