This week the Crusaders put their staggering 36-match home winning streak on the line against the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes lost their opening two games but have now won three straight. The backline brilliance of Ngani Laumape and Jordie Barrett was pivotal to a 29-27 eclipse of the Blues in Wellington last Saturday.
The Crusaders have won six in a row against the Hurricanes, including a pulsating 30-26 semi-final victory last season. They also won both games in the 2019 regular season handsomely: 38-22 in Christchurch and 32-8 in Wellington.
The Crusaders cruised to a 39-25 victory when these teams met in Round 2 of Super Rugby Aotearoa – their first match in three months. The in-form Hurricanes should keep it closer this time around, but expect the Crusaders stay unbeaten.
