Both the Cowboys and the Eagles have secured a playoff berth, but that doesn’t take away from the importance of Sunday’s game in Philly.
The Cowboys likely won’t finish any higher than the fourth seed in the NFC, but they’ll still be eager to bounce-back from a disappointing defensive performance last week at home against the Cardinals.
The Eagles, meanwhile, secured a playoff berth last week following Green Bay’s win over Minnesota, but that isn’t to say they aren’t worthy of a spot on their own merit.
Philly has lost only three of its last 10 games, largely thanks to the defence allowing an average of 20 points a game.
It has to be said that the Eagles lost 41-21 when they played the Cowboys back in September, but I really think Philly’s defensive front seven isn’t getting the respect it deserves.
They do have some personnel issues with a handful of guys on the COVID list, but with cold weather forecast at home, +7.5 is good insurance.
