Even though they did not secure Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona, Manchester City are the $1.75 favourites at TAB to win the 2020/2021 English Premier League title with the opening round starting on Saturday night.
The Sky Blues finished 18 points behind Liverpool in the race for the 2019/2020 premiership but have been supported since late June from $2.75 to $1.75 to win their third title in four seasons.
The Reds ended a 30-year top flight premiership drought just over two months ago but TAB punters have shied away from Liverpool claiming back-to-back titles with the drift from $1.67 to $3 in the last three months of betting.
