F1 70th Anniversary Grand Prix 2020 Tips, Odds and Free Bonus Bets

Silverstone will play host to a second straight Grand Prix this weekend as Formula 1 celebrates its 70th anniversary.

The sport returns home to the site of its first Grand Prix way back in 1950, meaning the winner of this week’s race will not only earn full points, but also cement themselves a spot in the history books.

After last week’s memorable triumph in the British Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton is again your favourite.

Teammate Valtreri Bottas appears great value in the market, while there’s also a case to be made for Ferrari following a promising return to the podium last week.

We’ve dissected the entire race, and our best 70th Anniversary Grand Prix tips can be found below.

2020 70th Anniversary Grand Prix Race Winner

Lewis Hamilton to win at $1.33

Lewis Hamilton broke his own personal record with a seventh win at Silverstone lsat week, so it’s no real surprise to find him as the odds-on favourite again on Sunday.

The six-time world champion crossed the finish line on only three tyres to win the British Grand Prix, a victory many are calling his most dramatic to date.

Speaking of tyres, every constructor faces a serious challenge this week with warmer temperatures expected.

The drivers will also race on softer tyres, meaning we’ll see more pit stops and, more than likely, a more dramatic and close race.

Even so, Hamilton’s track record at Silverstone speaks for itself. Mercedes are flying right now, and  since this is a milestone race for the sport, they’ll likely be racing with a point to prove.

2020 70th Anniversary Grand Prix Podium Finish

Charles Leclerc at $5.00

I think Ferrari are a real chance to make things interesting again on Sunday.

Charles Leclerc in particular stands out at these odds are finishing third in last week’s British Grand Prix behind Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

The Monegasque finished 18 seconds off Hamilton, but he did well to finish on the podium after starting fourth on the grid.

Ferrari appear confident that Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel’s cars can improve on last week’s efforts and I’m willing to back them on what is a very forgiving track.

2020 70th Anniversary Grand Prix Double Points Finish

McLaren at $2.88

I tipped McLaren for a double points finish last week in the British Grand Prix, but unfortunately, the late withdrawal of Sergio Perez cost us.

That said, I thought Lando Norris put in a huge effort as his replacement to finish fifth, while there’s still lots to like about the way Carlos Sainz has been driving.

A second crack with a few more days to prepare should suit them well.
