F1 Belgian Grand Prix 2020 Tips, Odds and Free Bonus Bets

Formula 1 returns from a two week break this weekend with the running of the 83rd annual Belgian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton still sits atop the driver’s standings after winning in Spain a fortnight ago, but another upset like the one we saw from Red Bull at the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix would surely place plenty of pressure back on the Brit.

With the season really heating up, we offer our best 2020 Belgian Grand Prix bets in our preview below.

2020 Belgian Grand Prix Race Winner

Max Verstappen to win at $4.00

Verstappen and Hamilton have finished one-two respectively over the last four Grand Prix’s, so it’s likely we see a similar story unfold on Sunday.

Hamilton does look a little vulnerable on this track though and I really can’t get him anywhere near the current $1.40 quote.

The six-time world champion has finished second at the last two runnings of the Belgian Grand Prix, so it’s safe to say he has a bit of a monkey on his back.

Verstappen, meanwhile, has been in the news this week for his fierce comments towards his team, which has drawn comparisons to Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna.

Whether that motivates the Dutchman remains to be seen, but it’s been clear over the last few weeks that Red Bull are capable of matching Mercedes, at least for the moment.

The 37-point gap in the standings isn’t completely insurmountable, so if Red Bull get their strategy right like they did at Silverstone three weeks ago, they might just make life very interesting.

2020 Belgian Grand Prix Podium Finish

Charles Leclerc at $5.50

Ferrari have finished on the podium only twice this year, but the red colours might be worth a bet this weekend.

Charles Leclerc won his first Formula 1 race on this track last year to extend Ferrari’s winning streak in Belgium to two.

Sebastian Vettel won the previous year finishing over 11 seconds quicker than Lewis Hamilton, so it’s safe to say Scuderia hold the wood over the rest of the competition on this track.

Leclerc failed to finish in Barcelona, so you just know he’s been stewing on that result for the last two weeks.

Ferrari say they’ve fixed the electrical problem that cost the Monegasque in Spain, so if the weather wreaks havoc like it’s expected to, Leclerc might have a chance to finish Top 3.

2020 Belgian Grand Prix Top 6 Finish

Daniel Ricciardo at $3.25

This has typically been a very kind track to the Aussie, even if his time at Renault hasn’t been.

Ricciardo won the Belgian Grand Prix back in 2014 during his time with Red Bull and he’s typically been very competitive at qualifying on this track ever since.

His race in Spain was a forgettable one, so too was his performance at Silverstone in the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix.

Ricciardo did, however, manage fourth at the British Grand Prix to start the month, so the chances of him finishing in the top six aren’t all that ridiculous.
