F1 Italian Grand Prix 2020 Tips, Odds and Free Bonus Bets

The Italian Grand Prix is one of the highlights on the Formula 1 calendar each year as the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza provides the perfect playground for the speedsters.

Lewis Hamilton added to his commanding lead atop the driver’s standings last week in Belgium and he has once again been installed as the odds-on favourite heading into Saturday’s qualifying.

Only eight races remain in the abridged 2020 season, meaning this might be one of the last opportunities for Red Bull to catch Mercedes in the constructors poll.

We’ve previewed the entire race and offer our best 2020 Italian Grand Prix bets below.

2020 Italian Grand Prix Podium Finish

Australian racing fans finally had something to celebrate last week as Daniel Ricciardo turned in a huge performance to finish fourth in Belgium.

After a tumultuous second season with Renault, I’m tipping Ricciardo and his teammate Esteban Ocon to potentially go one better this week on the hi-speed Monza circuit.

Monza features only 11 turns in total, so this track should play into the hands of Renault’s surprising speed.

With Ferrari in full disaster mode and Mercedes struggling with their tyre strategy, there’s a very realistic chance we see one of the Renault drivers on the podium this week.

2020 Italian Grand Prix Car to Set the Fastest Lap

Renault at $7.00

Similar to the reasons above, I’m also looking to double up on Renault to set the fastest lap.

Ricciardo recorded the fastest lap last week at Spa and finished fourth in this race last year.

Ocon also did well for fifth last week and is another live chance to repeat that performance.

2020 Italian Grand Prix First Car Retirement

Ferrari at $7.00

If you’re looking for a bet at odds, don’t sleep on Ferrari bowing out of the race nice and early.

Charles Leclerc won the Italian Grand Prix last year, but that feels like a distant memory now after what has been another forgettable season for Scuderia.

Ferrari struggled mightily last week with the speed at Spa and there is everything to suggest their power unit won’t cope with the ‘temple of speed’ in Monza.

Both cars failed to make it through Q2 last week, so this could be another disaster in the making for the red colours.
