Round 5 finishes off with one of the most fascinating games of the weekend as Fremantle plays host to the Western Bulldogs.
Prior to last weekend’s 42 point loss to Adelaide, Fremantle was the highest-scoring team in the AFLW but managed to kick only three goals in what was a forgettable night for the Dockers in Darwin.
Kiara Bowers was the standout player for Freo with five tackles, five marks and 19 disposals for the night.
The Western Bulldogs were taken to town against Brisbane in the Grand Final rematch last weekend.
It’s the Bulldogs inability to score that is costing the reigning premiers dearly in season 2019.
The Bulldogs are averaging only 171.3 disposals a match and are only better than the lowly Collingwood.
It’s not worth writing off Freo after one bad away loss.
The Dockers have been one of the standout teams in season 2019 and will want to bounce back on their home deck and get back to their high scoring ways.
