A trip to the Gold Coast might be just what the doctor ordered for the struggling Tigers on Thursday night.

Richmond’s performance was arguably one of the worst of the Damien Hardwick era last week against the Saints, but the good news is the Tigers still find themselves sitting eighth thanks to a pair of losses from Essendon and GWS.

The Suns, on the other hand, come into this game a little worse for wear after suffering their third consecutive defeat against North Melbourne.

Stuart Dew’s side was far from disgraced in the nine-point loss, but the Suns’ inability to compete in the fourth quarter is a worrying side with the reigning premiers in town this week.

Richmond’s recent run of injuries has only gotten worse with Noah Balta and Nathan Broad set for an extended stint on the sideline, but there is some good news on the Tom Lynch front with the star forward set to face his former side.

As far as betting goes, this looks the perfect game for the Tigers to get back on track.

The top four and even the premiership are in question right now, but it’s hard to ignore the fact Richmond has won six straight over the Gold Coast dating back to 2015.

Lynch’s inclusion should give the Tigers a little more direction moving the ball forward, and seeing as though the Suns seemingly don’t have the legs to play a full four quarters, this one could get ugly.
