We take a look at Monday’s (20/1/2020) NFL Conference Championships 2020 match which is between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.

Get ready for a plethora of “Aaron Rodgers against his home town team” storylines from this one as the Packers look for their first Super Bowl berth since the 2010 season.
Of course, they have very recent and not so pleasant memories of Levi’s Stadium, coming from a 37-8 pounding late in November.
Green Bay has not done all that well during their California trips this season, also going down to the Chargers 26-11. We should also mention the Packers losing their last two playoff games against the 49ers but since that came from the Harbaugh-Kaepernick era, it probably doesn’t hold too much weight.
Out of the eight teams that played on divisional weekend, the 49ers were the only ones to put together a complete team performance. So much so that the jitters from Jimmy Garoppolo in his first playoff start were not that big of a deal. With the defence piling up six sacks of Kirk Cousins, a strong rushing effort from Tevin Coleman and a physical defence, they were able to suffocate the Vikings out of the contest.
I’m expecting a similar game to play out here with the 49ers looking to bully the Packers out of it early in the contest. If they can get their ground game going, the Packers will lose their margin for error on offence and it will make life very tough on Rodgers essentially needing to put together a perfect possession every time he touches the ball.
Because of the limited chances both teams will have to produce points, I’m also going to take a swing at the Under since things could go awry very quickly and turn this one into a foregone conclusion. I will also pick out a player in the Anytime Touchdown Scorer market here too and I’ll stick with the tight end theme and back George Kittle to find the end zone for the 49ers.
