We should be in for a thriller on Sunday between the upstart Hawks and the finals hungry Saints.
Losing by a point always stings, but Hawthorn fans have to be encouraged by their sides second-half fight back in what was arguably one of the games of the season.
The Saints also gave their fans plenty to get excited about with a stunning seven goal final term in the win over Richmond.
Max King has been a revelation to start the season, and it was good to see the Saints play some team-first footy in comparison to their effort against Collingwood in Round 1.
Hawthorn has now covered in each of its last six games as the underdog, and they should pose a real threat to St Kilda if they continue to play aggressive footy off half-back.
The days of the Hawks playing unsociable footy are over, something Carlton found out the hard way last week as the momentum turned.
Hawthorn has also been the toughest side to score against this year, ranking dead last in average goals allowed to opponents.
You can’t discount King turning this game on its head, but if the Hawks can get the most out of Chad Wingard and Jack Gunston up forward, they’ll be right in this.
