A trade hasn’t officially been made, but Anthony Davis signalling his intention to leave the New Orleans Pelicans has been enough to see TAB’s odds for the 2018/2019 NBA winner change.
With speculation that the Lakers will be his destination of choice, they have firmed from $17 into $12 to win the Championship.
The Golden State Warriors maintain favouritism but have drifted slightly from $1.50 to $1.55, while New Orleans’ odds have more than doubled, out from $67 to $151.
“Davis is under contract for another season and a half, but if the Lakers do get him, they automatically become more of a threat despite the need for them to give up assets. We have firmed their odds, but even though LeBron James and Davis would make an exciting duo, we still have the Warriors as the team to beat at $1.55 considering they are the two time defending champions,” said TAB’s Shaun Anderson.
