It’s an excellent game to start off the weekend as the Packers and Rams face off in a contest that could go any number of ways.
There are some serious questions over the health of several Rams players after a bruising and emotionally draining win in Seattle last weekend.
Chief among them is All Pro defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who exited the game in Seattle with a rib injury, but not before registering two sacks of Russell Wilson.
If he is at all limited it swings the game heavily in favour of Green Bay as he alone can cause havoc on the Packers offensive line.
MVP-elect Aaron Rodgers would be breathing a huge sigh of relief if he did not have to worry about Donald coming after him for three hours either.
There are questions about how the Packers will come out for this game after having the NFC’s lone bye.
If you want to focus on the positive angle, they will come into the game fresh and Matt LaFleur will have had an entire fortnight to come up with a creative game plan to attack the Rams vaunted defence.
On the other hand, as we have seen so many times with teams off a bye, they could come out flat after having a week of rest or LaFleur will have had too much time to overthink things and will try to get too creative.
In the end, health is huge at this time of year and Green Bay is the team in far better shape.
It might be a bit of an arm wrestle as the Rams defence does its best to keep Rodgers and company in check with Jalen Ramsey taking out Davante Adams but considering the Rams quarterback position is under a huge question mark, I’ll back the Packers to get home.
