Bragging rights that are on the line often make the Melbourne Derby an even greater spectacle, but that increases tenfold today as BBL10’s second-worst side takes on their cellar-dwelling neighbours.
The Renegades are absolutely no chance of making the finals again this season, why another loss would almost certainly end the slim chances of the Stars making a late run, as well.
The Stars have been typically frustrating this season, and despite flying the blocks, have offered almost nothing since Christmas. Marcus Stoinis has been a shining light but beyond him, it has been pretty dire scenes.
The Renegades meanwhile are lucky to have won even the two matches so far, entering this contest with a 2-8 record.
The Stars are on track to start pretty clear favourites but given their record, I don’t want to risk them at the price, so I’m going to dig further into the market for value.
