Fourth-placed Melbourne will play host to fifth-placed Fremantle at Casey Fields for a spot in the Preliminary Final against Adelaide.
The Dees have been in red-hot form in their run to the finals, taking some huge scalps and a thrilling two-point win over the Lions ensured a home final.
However, skipper Daisy Pearce has been deemed “highly unlikely” to feature in her sides final after the club confirmed damage to her right medical collateral ligament according to reports.
Both Melbourne and Fremantle have been involved with some absolute nailbiters of late, including when the Dees went over to Perth and managed to fend off a Dockers comeback to win by five points.
Freo went down by a point to North Melbourne at Arden Street last Saturday, with yet another slow start costing them before charing home in the second half.
The Dockers have now lost their past two matches by a combined margin of six points, and only just managed to beat the Blues by 4 points in their most recent win.
I wouldn’t want to have a heart condition if I was a Freo AFLW supporter!
Picking a winner in this is a real toss of a coin.
Momentum is everything and the Dees just keep on winning, however, if Fremantle can manage to shake off their slow starts I believe they can do some serious damage and cause an upset to really give the start of the AFLW finals a shake up.
