Michelle Obama odds on to run for President in 2020

As the world comes to terms with the reality of a Trump Presidency thoughts are already turning to who can save the Democrats and even democracy for that matter in 2020.

One name already gathering momentum is that of the current First Lady Michelle Obama, following her campaigning for Hillary Clinton and the moving speeches she delivered along the way.

Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has opened Michelle Obama as a $1.75 favourite to run for the Presidency in 2020 and a $2.00 shot she’ll sit it out.

She is also considered a $5.00 chance to win the Democratic nomination and a $11 chance to be elected President.

For Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady formally tipped to be the first female President, it appears to be the end of the political road with her odds to run for a third time a slim $11 chance and winning the nomination considered unlikely at $21.

As Trump has shown, anyone can be President and Sportsbet has opened a market on who will run in 2020 with personalities like Kayne West ($5.00), Mark Zuckerberg ($21), Kim Kardashian ($34) and Angelina Jolie ($51) all listed.

Even Homer Simpson gets given a chance to be President at odds of $501…now that really would warrant a d’oh!

“Michelle Obama was a lot more political on the road in support of Clinton so it could be the early foundations to an Obama masterplan to take back the White House in 2020 and the odds aren’t farfetched on it happening,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
