The Saints are still on the bubble of the NFC Wild Card picture, and just like last week, they find themselves in another must-win game.
New Orleans can book a last-minute spot with a win and a 49ers loss to the Rams, but nothing is going to come easy against a Falcons team that has been up and down all season.
Atlanta was in a similar position this time last week, but a blowout loss to the Bills in Buffalo brought an end to another underwhelming season.
Injuries and another year of sloppy defence has plagued the Falcons, but I’m happy to make a play on them this week given their outstanding 6-2 record on the back of a loss this season.
Atlanta also recorded a 27-25 win over New Orleans back in November, a game that went a long way to keeping their season alive.
Like the line suggests, I’d be surprised if this one is decided by more than a touchdown, but with the chance to put a line through the Saints’ season, I like the Falcons outright.
