NFL Draft Tips, Predictions, Odds and Best Bets – 2020

We take a look at the 2020 NFL Draft Betting Markets and we give our Tips and Bets for what is always a massive event on the sporting calander each year despite this years draft affected by COVID-19. View our 2020 NFL Draft Tips and Best Bets below.

Draft Props

CeeDee Lamb Draft Position

This wide receiver class looks like the best one in a VERY long time with good players set to be available into Day Three.

It means that teams with a need at the position will probably have multiple guys they like and will be happy to sit back and let the decision be made for them.

CeeDee Lamb is going to be a fun player to watch if he gets into the right system but with plenty of talent on offer, he may have to wait longer than someone of his skill set in other years.

BET: Over 12.5 @ $2.10

Jake Fromm Draft Position

If there is the opportunity for a brief sidebar here, Fromm needs to go to New England, he has the smarts and the decision making ability to go and become a decent 10 year starter for a team looking to replace the greatest quarterback of all time.

Unfortunately an average senior season has put more than a massive dent in Fromm’s draft stock and it sure seems like the third round is his range.

In case you were wondering, the first pick of the third round is number 65 so you can guess what to back here.

BET: Over 60.5 @ $1.80

Jerry Jeudy Draft Position

Another player that will suffer from the fact a lot of GM’s will think that in such a deep receiver class, they can afford to sit on the position and let someone else make the first move.

Jeudy could very well be the best receiver in the class but having held that mantle since September, it’s given the “experts” with too much time on their hands too many chances to nitpick his flaws.

Whoever he does fall to in the teens is getting a steal here and this is a great chance to win in a market that is close to a pick.

BET: Over 12.5 @ $1.80

Jordan Love Draft Position

There’s always one quarterback in every draft that has the boom or bust tag and Love is definitely that guy here.

Love has the unfortunate luck of being compared to current Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes but not being good enough in college to have a lot of hype surrounding him, which means one of those teams that needs a quarterback will look to climb up in the draft and pick him somewhere in the teens.

Think back to 2011 when guys like Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert and Christian freaking Ponder went way earlier than they should have because of the quarterback vacuum, there should be a similar rush in the teens here.

BET: Under 19.5 @ $2.50

Justin Herbert Draft Position

One of these quarterbacks will slip down the draft board due to some major concerns about their viability in the professional game.

For Herbert, most of the questions revolve around his mental acuity and the fact plenty of Oregon quarterbacks before him have fallen flat on their face.

The only way he goes before pick six (the LA Chargers) is if someone trades up to Detroit’s spot to take him and is that really worth taking a risk on?

BET: Over 5.5 @ $1.87

Tua Tagovailoa Draft Position

Simple question here, are you buying the late concern about Tua’s medical history?

If so, an Aaron Rodgers style fall could be in the making here and all of a sudden the memory of him being an alleged top five pick is just that.

Maybe it’s all a smokescreen but if you think teams are genuinely scared of his history, there’s some excellent value in this market.

BET: Over 5.5 @ $2.00

Number of Safetys Drafted in the First Round

This is another one of those markets where you ask “what have I missed here?”

We might not see a safety go before the 16th overall pick but there’s quite a few guys who could very easily go in the first round.

Xavier McKinney will be the first player from this position group off the board and it would be a stunner if Grant Delpit at least didn’t join him as a day one pick.

You also can’t rule out someone reaching for an Ashtyn Davis or Antoine Winfield Jr at the back end of the first round if Delpit goes in the mid-20’s.

BET: Over 1.5 @ $2.50

To Be Drafted in the Top 5

Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons could be the second best defensive prospect in the draft after Chase Young and Matt Patricia could be well served pairing Simmons with free agent signing Jamie Collins to add even more athleticism to his linebacker core.

Failing that, the New York Giants could see him as a prospect too strong to pass up despite their need for help on the offensive line or Miami coach Brian Flores could see the idea of adding another athlete to his defence as something impossible to resist.

BET: Back Isaiah Simmons @ $2.15

First RB Drafted

Running backs are a dime a dozen in the modern NFL outside of a couple of difference makers like Christian McCaffery and Saquon Barkley.

With nobody anywhere close to that level of talent in this draft class, it really is a flip of the coin to find the team that decides to pull the trigger on the first back.

In all honesty the first major hole at running back might be the Chiefs at 32 and Taylor is probably a better fit for that scheme than the market favourite D’Andre Swift.

BET: Back Jonathan Taylor @ $2.75

First WR Drafted

There are three “top prospects” in the wide receiver group who will be taken somewhere between picks 10 and 20.

As we mentioned before, because of this there’s a chance that means some teams will hold fire and wait for the group to be thinned out before pulling the trigger on one of the remaining pass catchers.

Lamb is probably the second best receiver in the draft but could go before the slightly better Jeudy because there’s a chance that the Raiders or 49ers might see him as a better scheme fit.

BET: Back CeeDee Lamb @ $2.15

Number 3 Overall Pick

You can afford to double dip on defenders in the market here with Okudah offering good value at even money and Simmons representing great value, assuming Detroit holds onto the pick.

Then there is the aforementioned Simmons whose rare athleticism could really appeal to a Detroit team that needs playmakers at every level of defence.

The only way you lose out here is if Detroit trades out of this spot to a team that wants to reach for a quarterback.

BET: Back Jeff Okudah @ $2.00

BET:  Back Isaiah Simmons @ $10.00
