So there’s no footy at all this Saturday until this absolute dead-rubber of a match comes on between 17th placed North Melbourne taking on 1st placed Port Adelaide.
I don’t envy those who have had to organise the 2020 AFL fixture but this is a deadset clanger.
As for the match itself, North comes off a “bye” and a 63 point loss at the hands of the Gold Coast Suns last week.
A Mad Monday with a COVID safe plan put in place couldn’t come quick enough for the Kangaroos.
Port Adelaide is also coming off a “bye” where they didn’t feature in the Tuesday-Friday Round 15 but played last Saturday.
The Power has won five of their last six games, but haven’t been able to demolish the cellar dwellers this season.
They just got the job done over the Swans last week and keep on banking the wins while remaining on top of the ladder, as has been the case for all of season 2020.
Port Adelaide will win this but if trends continue, take them at the 20-39 margin for a bit of value.
