The old rivalry will be renewed in Sydney on Saturday night when the Waratahs play host to the Brumbies.
There was a collective sigh of relief when the Waratahs fought back into the contest and ultimately beat minnows the Force in Round 2.
Imagine the scenes if the Force had won their first game back in the competition, let alone against a side stacked with international representatives.
At the end of the day, a win is a win, and all the Waratahs can do is note their early mistakes, tune up and have another dig.
The Brumbies enter Round 3 off the back of a bye and prior to that, a good enough first-up win over the Rebels.
They are another side that I believe will improve for their first-up effort and with the benefit of fresh legs, they should just be too good for the Waratahs.
